Sam joined Oxford Science Enterprises in May 2024, bringing over 5 years expertise in capital raising and venture building.
At OSE, Sam supports fundraising efforts for both OSE and its portfolio companies, while helping to manage the Group’s global relationships with shareholders and co-investors.
Before joining OSE, Sam founded and led his own startup SmashMedicine, a digital education venture translating neuroscience research into a commercial platform. In this role, Sam oversaw all aspects of business operations, with a particular focus on building lasting relationships with investors and stakeholders to secure funding. Earlier in his career, Sam managed European-wide technology projects at the University of Oxford’s Department of Oncology and was selected to participate in the Oxford Foundry accelerator programme.
Sam holds a BSc in Neuroscience from the University of Manchester, graduating with first-class honours.
