Matt joined Oxford Science Enterprises in January 2024, bringing experience in venture capital investing, engineering, and consulting.
As part of the Independent Investments Team, Matt works exclusively with established portfolio companies that have developed a significant degree of independence from OSE. He manages OSE’s investments in these companies, supports their continued growth and development, and is responsible for investing fresh OSE capital into them.
Before joining OSE, Matt was an Associate at and a founding member of Undivided Ventures. Matt managed multiple deals from inception to close and led Undivided’s deal-sourcing and brand-building activities in the UK and Europe. Prior to this, he served as a Principal Analyst and sector lead at LCP Delta, directing and managing high-value consultancy projects. During his time at LCP Delta he spent a year on secondment as an Energy Advisor at the UK Government’s Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy.
Matt is a certified Chartered Engineer (MIET) who holds an MPhil in Engineering for Sustainable Development from the University of Cambridge, awarded with distinction. Matt also holds an MSc and BSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cape Town, awarded with first-class honours.
