Sam joined Oxford Science Enterprises in 2019. He focuses on uncovering new opportunities in Deep Tech (primarily in AI, software and computing), as well as supporting the existing portfolio. He sits on the board of several OSE companies.
Prior to joining, Sam worked in management consulting at Monitor Deloitte, focusing on AI-related projects for large corporates and government organizations. He is qualified with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
Sam holds a First Class degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford, and received the Gladstone Academic Scholarship. His dissertation on the possibility of machine consciousness in 2016 received a distinction.
