Karandeep joined Oxford Science Enterprises in January 2025, bringing over 13 years of experience in engineering and product development leadership across the Automotive and Battery Materials industries. He has expertise in technical delivery, growing organisations, and scaling operations.
As Entrepreneur in Residence, Karandeep will lead the discovery, creation, and development of a new Deep Tech business. He will initially focus on innovations in Energy, Mobility, and Automotive, while also exploring and advising on opportunities across the broader OSE portfolio.
Prior to OSE, Karandeep was Chief Programmes Officer (CPO) at Nexeon, a Deep Tech company that develops energy-dense materials for lithium-ion batteries used in Electric Vehicles and Consumer Electronics. He played a key role in scaling global operations, securing a maiden commercial supply contract with Panasonic, and raising over $170 million as part of a Series D fundraise.
Before Nexeon, Karandeep was part of the early leadership team at Arrival, a commercial electric vehicle startup. The company’s $13 billion NASDAQ listing in 2021 was the largest in UK tech startup history. His foundational experience comes from various engineering and project delivery roles at Jaguar Land Rover.
Karandeep holds an MEng in Aeronautical Engineering, with a Diploma in Industrial Studies, from Loughborough University.
