Claire joined Oxford Science Enterprises in September 2020, responsible for supporting new company creation for Life Sciences as well as the management of the existing portfolio.
Claire brings over 20 years of BioPharmaceutical industry experience, from R&D strategy and licensing to business development and corporate investment, in the UK and US, across a diverse range of therapy areas and modalities. Notable experience includes roles at UCB Group, Sanofi-Genzyme and AstraZeneca.
Prior to OSE, Claire was Head of Investment at Pioneer Group (formerly BioCity Group) where she focused on early-stage company creation. She has also been a big supporter of the Innovation ecosystem across the UK, supporting a number of early-stage accelerators and as an assessor for Innovate-UK.
Claire holds a BSc in Physiology and a PhD in Pharmacology from the University of Glasgow and Glasgow Caledonian University respectively, as well as an MBA with a focus on Entrepreneurship from Loughborough University.
