Oxford Science Enterprises plc (OSE plc) and OSE Manager Limited (OSE Manager) are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in our own business or in any of our supply chains.
We take a zero-tolerance stance on slavery and human trafficking within both our workforce and expect the same from our supply chain and portfolio companies.
This statement is made pursuant to section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
OSE plc is an independent company, created in 2015 to found, build and scale transformational businesses via its unique partnership with the University of Oxford. OSE plc is an Alternative Investment Fund.
OSE Manager is a 100% owned subsidiary of OSE plc and is an FCA Authorised Alternative Investment Fund Manager.
Our supply chains are limited and most of our relationships are with firms and individuals in professional, regulated service industries such as accountants, lawyers, regulatory advisors, etc.
OSE plc and OSE Manager are committed to holding themselves and their suppliers to high standards of business conduct and integrity. When engaging with any suppliers we will obtain confirmation from them that they have systems and controls in place in respect of Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking.
These topics are also considered via our responsible investment process when assessing material sustainability topics pre-investment and engaging with portfolio companies on their sustainability strategies.
As part of our commitment to combatting modern slavery, we have put in place a Modern Slavery Policy which sets out how we act ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships. This policy is reviewed at least annually.
We take the following steps to help mitigate the risk of slavery and human trafficking in both our business and our supply chains:
All staff have received a copy of the Modern Slavery Policy and know to contact the Head of HR with any queries. Formalised training is not considered necessary based on the low risk of modern slavery in our business.
Those staff and directors involved in the procurement of products or services from third parties are fully aware of our commitment to fair employment practices and are reminded of the key issues of modern slavery at regular intervals.
This statement was approved by the Board of Directors of Oxford Science Enterprises plc and OSE Manager Limited and is our Modern Slavery Statement for the financial year ending 31 December 2025. This statement will be reviewed at least annually.
