Katherine joined Oxford Science Enterprises in October 2023 as an Entrepreneur in Residence and became an Operating Partner in October 2024.
She has over 30 years of healthcare experience across public (NHS), private (UnitedHealth Group/Optum), and startup (Healthy.io) sectors in leadership, commercial and sales roles.
At OSE, Katherine focuses on venture building – identifying and sourcing world-leading science, collaborating with academics and entrepreneurs to develop investment-ready business cases, and supporting early-stage companies in Executive Chair or Board roles.
Prior to OSE, Katherine was Chief Commercial Officer at Healthy.io, a healthtech startup using smartphone cameras as clinical-grade diagnostic devices. She joined pre-Series A and stayed through to Series D, helping secure a scaled NHS contract and a strategic US partnership. Before that, she was Chief Growth Officer for Optum’s International business, working across the UK, US, Australia, Singapore, Brazil. She began her career as a General Management Trainee in the NHS, where she spent 15 years in leadership roles.
Katherine holds a degree in Classics from King’s College, Cambridge, and a Master’s in Social Policy from the University of Bristol.
