Distinguished Academic in Chemistry & Oxford Alumni to Help Strengthen Deep Tech Research Activity
Oxford Science Enterprises (OSE), the independent investment company created to find, fund, and build transformational businesses from Oxford’s world-leading research, today announces the appointment of Mark Chadwick as Scientist-in-Residence (SIR) within its Deep Tech team.
A University of Oxford alumni, holding an MChem and a DPhil in Chemistry, Mark joins OSE following a distinguished academic career, most recently as a Research Fellow at Imperial College London.
In his time at Oxford, he conducted postdoctoral research and held a teaching position at Magdalen College. Mark was also awarded an EPFL Fellowship at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne in Switzerland before returning to the UK to establish his research programme at Imperial.
Mark has built an impressive track record in cutting-edge chemical research, with over 30 peer-reviewed publications, and significant research funding from organisations including the Leverhulme Trust, the European Research Council (ERC), and UK Research and Innovation (UKRI). In his new role at OSE, he will focus on strengthening relationships with Oxford academics, identifying promising new Deep Tech opportunities, and assisting in the technical evaluation of potential investments.
