Oxford, UK: January 27, 2025: Oxford Science Enterprises (OSE), the independent investment company founded to build and support transformational businesses via its unique partnership with the University of Oxford, today announces the appointment of Karandeep Bhogal as the newest Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) within its Deep Tech team.
Karandeep brings an impressive track record in driving transformative growth and innovation across leading technology companies. Most notably, he played a pivotal role at electric vehicle manufacturer, Arrival, where he helped raise $110m from Hyundai Kia Motor Co., leading the company to a historic $13bn NASDAQ listing in 2021—the largest IPO in UK startup history at the time.
Karandeep’s expertise spans technical and strategic leadership, with a proven ability to guide companies from R&D through to commercial production. He will focus on advancing OSE’s investment activity in the Energy & Mobility sector.
More recently, as Chief Programmes Officer at Oxfordshire-based battery technology company, Nexeon, Karandeep formed a key part of the leadership team that successfully closed a Series D funding round, raising $170 million. Karandeep has also held pivotal roles at Jaguar Land Rover, where he delivered design-led programs and innovative product launches.
